In-Between explores the spatial and conceptual role of emptiness within ceramic form.
The project is based on elements derived from the context of ceramic production in Bolesławiec. Its starting point is the form of a vase designed by Bronisław Wolanin (artistic director and form designer at Ceramika Artystyczna between 1964 and 2012), whose work serves as a reference and structural framework.
Instead of focusing on the object itself, the composition shifts attention to the space between forms—the gaps, intervals, and voids that define their relationships. These “in-between” zones become the primary subject of the work.
Through repetition and displacement, the original form is fragmented and reinterpreted, revealing what is usually overlooked: the negative space that structures perception.
The project reflects on continuity, memory, and transformation, treating form not as a closed object, but as a system of relations embedded in its context.
